i like that configuration changes are included here, because database migrations are where a calm friday goes to die. we run postgres with liquibase, and a migration plan should say what happens when a lock cannot be acquired. automated rollback is not always safe, but rehearsed rollback is wonderfully boring.
Terraform cant stop drfit, why call it prevention?
“Clear communication” is doing a lot of work here. At my job, a documented change can still sit waiting for an approver who is on leave, while an expired certificate keeps getting closer. We have had two outages this year caused by changes that were approved but never validated afterward. What evidence shows that adding another collaboration tool improves incident communication rather than scattering it? I would rather see ownership, escalation timing, and a tested contact list before adopting another platform. The operational work is mostly keeping the records and alerts accurate after the initial project team has moved on.
